Algerian-Chinese five-year plan for comprehensive strategic cooperation

Algeria and China signed, on Tuesday, the second five-year plan for comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries for the period 2022-2026.

The five-year plan aims to continue to intensify bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields, according to a statement by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The plan was signed by Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra, and member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party, State Counselor, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated – according to the statement – that the plan is the second of its kind in the field of comprehensive strategic cooperation that was signed between the two countries since the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership relations.

She indicated that she aims to continue cooperation in all fields, including economy, trade, energy, agriculture, science and technology, space, health, and human and cultural communication, in addition to enhancing harmonization between the development strategies of the two countries.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry affirmed that the two countries intend to seize the opportunity to implement this five-year plan in order to deepen practical cooperation in a way that guarantees the continued enrichment of the elements of the comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the two countries, and that will benefit both countries.
