He said that his visit to India comes at “a time when our bilateral relations are witnessing a remarkable boom in all aspects of cooperation, and it represents an important opportunity to continue consultations and exchange visions on ways to improve cooperation between our two countries at all levels.” He also indicated that the visit is also an opportunity to “coordinate positions on regional and global issues that have a direct impact on our national security.” He continued, “Egypt and India are looking forward to achieving common goals in various fields based on the historical ties and the enormous potentials enjoyed by the two countries.” They also intend to advance their bilateral relations to the stage of strategic partnership and mutual coordination on various issues and topics of interest to both parties. Strategic partnership Within the framework of the same visit, the Egyptian president met, at the Indian presidential palace complex in the capital, New Delhi, India’s Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar. The official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency quoted Sisi as affirming Egypt’s keenness to strengthen and deepen the extended strategic partnership with India, which represents an important pillar for maintaining security and stability in the Middle East. In this context, Al-Sisi expressed his aspiration to maximize coordination and consultation with the Indian side during the coming period regarding various political, security and economic files of common interest. from his side; The Indian Foreign Minister welcomed Al-Sisi’s visit to New Delhi, stressing that it will contribute to supporting the course of relations between the two countries in a constructive and positive manner, especially in light of the Indian government’s commitment to strengthening frameworks of joint cooperation with Egypt in various fields.
