On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of deliberately destroying all “vital infrastructure” in the Kherson region after it was restored.
During his daily speech after a visit to Kherson, Zelensky said that “before winter, all vital infrastructure was completely destroyed by the Russians,” adding that “all important facilities were mined.”

He pointed out that the city “has no electricity, communications, internet or television, and everything they destroyed on purpose.”
And he continued, “This is what the flag of Russia means – complete destruction,” promising to “restore life to normal,” and considering the city’s liberation as “the beginning of the end of the war.”
The Ukrainian electricity company “Okrinergo” announced that Russia had destroyed a major power station in Kherson before the withdrawal of its forces from the city and the right bank of the Dnipro River.
The withdrawal of Russian forces in the face of Ukraine’s counteroffensive was a setback for President Vladimir Putin, who in September ordered the mobilization of 300,000 reservists.

For his part, the commander of the Ukrainian army, Valery Zaluzhny, confirmed that the army’s goal is to liberate all of Ukraine from Russia’s control.
And he continued via Telegram: “Our army will not accept any negotiations, agreements, or consensual decisions, and there is one condition for negotiations, which is Russia leaving all the lands it controlled.”
The Russian army still controls about a fifth of Ukraine, despite its recent withdrawal from Ukrainian Kherson.
