On Saturday evening, two Palestinian brothers were killed when they were trampled by a settler near the Za’tara military checkpoint, south of Nablus.

According to the Palestinian news Agency, Wafa, the two brothers, Muhammad and Muhannad Youssef Mutair, from Qalandia camp, north of Jerusalem, were killed on Saturday evening, after a settler deliberately stepped on them.

The director of the Jerusalem governorate office in Qalandia camp, Zakariya Fayala, said that the two brothers, Mutair, were standing on the side of the road to repair one of the tires of the vehicle they were traveling in with members of their family, and a settler deliberately hit them with his vehicle and fled, which led to the immediate death of Muhammad, while His brother, Muhannad, was wounded and taken to a hospital, and later announced that he had died of his injury.

Wafa quoted Imad Mutair Quwah as saying that his cousin Muhammad died immediately after being trampled on by a settler, while his brother Muhannad was seriously injured in the same accident, and announced his death later from his injury.

He added that the two brothers were run over by a settler who was driving his vehicle at high speed near the Za’tara checkpoint, while they were changing one of their vehicle’s tires on the side of the road.
